Why we built it
A lot of it is a business-management platform with a garage skin on top, or a Windows product that never left 2009. It works, at a desk, once you have been trained. It is no use to a technician at arm's length across a bay with dirty hands.
Bays grouped into lanes: ramps, detailing, yard. Drag a job onto a free bay to place it, drag between bays to move a car. Every tile carries the plate, the job, the status and how long it has been in. A job running past its estimate turns red on its own.
Every job carries a pre-check and a post-check. Technicians tick them off on their phone, each one stamped with the time and who did it. Outstanding items carry an amber edge so a half-done list is obvious at a glance. Sign off the post-check and the work-completed report prints with the invoice.
Bayline on a phone shows a technician their jobs, the floor, the queue, and anything waiting on them. They advance work items, tick checks and ask a question on the job card without walking back to the office. Included, with no per-seat charge.
Website form, WhatsApp, phone, walk-in. They all land in one triage board and move New, Contacted, Quoted, Booked. Book one in and Bayline creates the customer, the vehicle and the job in a single step, and remembers which channel it came from so you can see what is actually bringing in work.
